We bring the great taste of Charlotte to you! The 2008 Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend, presented by University Volvo, will be held Wednesday, May 7 through Saturday, May 10, 2008 in Uptown Charlotte. More than 40 internationally-known winemakers will be attending the event to celebrate Charlotte's passion for wine, food and charity.
This year's Community Partners include the Allegro Foundation, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Hospitality House of Charlotte, Johnson & Wales University and KinderMourn. Since 1989, more than $2.7 million have been donated to the Charlotte community from funds raised through the Charlotte Wine & Food Weekend.
Ten events have been scheduled over the four-day event. These include tastings with expert sommeliers, dinners by Charlotte's favorite chefs, live and silent auctions, wine tasting courses at Johnson & Wales University and celebrations scheduled for Friday and Saturday night.
